The Fountain City Classic (FCC) Host Committee is excited to announce the official process for high school seniors in the greater Columbus, Georgia area to apply for scholarship funds. The FCC scholarship application closes on March 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Below, you’ll find an overview of the scholarship and the criteria for eligibility.
We offer two easy ways to submit your scholarship application:
- Online Submission: Gather your materials and use our e-link to complete the application online.
- Email Submission: Download the PDF version of the application, complete it, save, print, and email it to us at fccscholars@fountaincityclassic.com.

Scholarship Overview & Criteria:
Fountain City Classic Community Scholarship
- Application Period: Opens January 15, 2026, and closes on February 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
- Eligibility: Open to high school seniors within a 100-mile radius of Columbus, Georgia, who will be attending college/university in the Fall of 2026.
- College Attendance: Applicants may attend any accredited college or university in the continental United States.
- Academic Requirements: Minimum GPA of 2.5, with SAT scores of at least 480 in Reading & Writing and 440 in Math, or ACT scores of 17 in English, Reading, and Math.
- Recommendations: Three recommendation forms must be completed and submitted by the application deadline (from a teacher, school counselor, or an adult community member).
- Essay: A 300-word maximum essay in MLA format is required.
- Transcript: Submit an official high school transcript through the counselor recommendation form.
- Photo: Upload a headshot photo.
- Interview: Potential recipients will be required to attend an in-person interview.
